15 Year Anniversary
It’s Year 15 for Woodland Mills and there’s lots of stories to tell
Join founders Neil and Josh as they take us through the first 15 years of this Canadian forestry company
We're turning 15, and it’s a monumental milestone for the Woodland Mills team.
Founded in 2009 and based in Port Perry, Ontario, Woodland Mills has become a leader in the forestry equipment industry. For a decade and a half, owners and founders Josh Malcom and Neil Bramley, along with their dedicated team, have been thrilled to see the growing number of projects our community has undertaken. From off-grid cabins and new kitchens to trails on expansive acreages and pristine backyards, our portable sawmills, stump grinders, and wood chippers have been there every step of the way. The unwavering support from our customers has fueled our growth.
In conjunction with this celebration, Woodland Mills is also proud to announce a comprehensive brand refresh. This initiative reflects our commitment to evolving with the needs of our customers and the market. The new look and feel of our brand, showcased in our refreshed logo, tagline and more, encapsulates our journey and our vision for the future. We aim to continue telling the story of what our customers mean to us and celebrate and support them every step of the way.
To celebrate the occasion, we are launching our 15-year anniversary campaign, with new videos releasing on social media over the next five weeks, as well as a few announcements we can’t wait to share.
But how did it all start? Who are Josh and Neil and how has this company evolved from just two entrepreneurs to a team of more than 50? How did it go from the pair chatting over the phone to having 100,000 square feet of operating space in North America?
Thankfully we’ve made a little film to answer those questions!
Counting the Rings is a documentary celebrating our first 15 years, showing how Josh and Neil met as childhood friends, trained as engineers and became business partners, taking their passion for building and creating to new heights.
And to mark that milestone there are plenty of new things to share over the coming weeks, highlighting our team's innovation and sharing some of the amazing projects our customers have made using our products.
None of this would have been possible without the intense support of the sawyers, landowners and landcrafters in our community. So many dreams have been realized because of their passion and creativity, and we couldn’t be more thankful.
“We are just gaining momentum that I think we can easily build on for 15 years with new product additions, getting more products to market, really just listening to that feedback loop we’ve created within our staff and our community,” said Josh.
“Woodland Mills has become a community brand, it’s a large group of people who share a common group of interests: being outside and enjoying the outdoors, building, creating… doing many of the we did as children,” added Neil. “It’s like-minded people doing similar things. We’re happy to support those people with certain tools to allow them to live their lifestyle.”
