Sawyer Showcase:
How Shannon and Andrew Turned Carving Into a Full-Time Business
Shannon and Andrew moved away, bought every Woodland Mills product, and started a business.
When Shannons dad bought an HM126 Portable Sawmill and let it sit unused, Andrew took it upon himself to put the machine to use. After using it a few times, it inspired him to see what he could do with the wood, and from there, a chainsaw carving business was born.
Soon after starting the business, Andrew and Shannon realized they didnt have enough space on their property for everything they were building and carving, so they quit their construction jobs, and moved to the Lanark Highlands where they now own 50 acres of property.
After buying their own HM130MAX Portable sawmill, they were able to get back to work and start carving again. Soon, they realized that with owning such a large property, comes lots of maintenance, so they bought a WG24 Stump Grinder to help clear stumps from fallen trees. After that came the Multilander Trailer, which Andrew and Shannon use to haul logs from the forest to their mill on the back of an ATV or trailer.
Recently, they added to their collection again with the TF810 PRO Wood Chipper which allows them to get rids of milling and caring scraps and use the woodchips around the property for trails, and their goat pens.
