OPTIMIZED ENGINE PAIRING
The SE118 is powered by a 7 HP Rato engine selected specifically for this mill’s size and cutting capacity. It delivers steady, reliable performance through a simple pull-start design and is backed by a one-year commercial warranty.
PRECISION TRACK SYSTEM
The SE118 uses rigid 2 3/8" x 2.5" (6 cm x 6 cm) L-channel track rails with precision-machined tops to support smooth, accurate sawhead travel. These rails are cross-supported by heavy-gauge log bunks with a CNC-bent top profile, helping disperse the log’s weight, reduce marking or indentation, and add rigidity to the entire track system. Additional short track Extensions are available, giving you a compact way to increase your sawmill’s cut length.
OPTIONAL LEVELING FEET
We offer an optional set of twelve leveling feet to support the SE track system. Each foot provides up to 4" (10 cm) of adjustment, allowing you to quickly level the sawmill on your prepared base and improve overall track alignment for consistent cutting performance.
RELIABLE LOG SECURING
The SE118 includes a simple screw-style log clamp that securely holds the log in place during milling. A set of short and long log supports is also included, giving you flexible height options based on your mounting height and the size of material you’re cutting. Together, these components provide stable, reliable log control for clean, consistent cuts.
MANUAL LUBRICATION SYSTEM
All SE model sawmills come equipped with a plastic lubrication tank that features a needle valve that gives you precise control over the lubricant flow. A simple on/off switch lets you start the flow as you begin milling and shut it off when you're finished, keeping operation easy and efficient.
STABLE 4-POST CARRIAGE ASSEMBLY
The SE118 uses a proven 4-post sawhead design anchored with precision laser-cut carriage plates for stable tracking and consistent cutting accuracy. This solid structure forms the backbone of the mill and delivers reliable performance for DIY, hobby, and property milling.
CONSTANT-PRESSURE U-BUSHINGS
Our constant-pressure U-bushings create a secure, consistent connection between the sawhead and carriage posts, helping the sawhead travel smoothly up and down the posts without binding. Made from durable glass-filled nylon, they provide long service life and help maintain accurate cutting performance over time.
RAPIDCHANGE® BLADE SYSTEM
Exclusive to Woodland Mills, the RapidChange® system allows tool-less blade changes and reduces the need for tracking adjustments between blade changes. A stack of Belleville washers acts as a shock absorber to maintain consistent blade tension across temperature changes, helping reduce stress on the blade and extend its service life.
DUAL RACE BEARING CARRIAGE WHEELS
The saw's carriage wheels have a dual race bearing. This provides the best connection between the rolling wheel and the track surface, to ensure stability from the wheels to the track to the sawhead. The radius profile in the groove and the square-topped tracks are designed to wear together to make a matched set over time. To keep the track free from debris, stainless steel wire sweepers clean the track while in use.
PRE-ASSEMBLED SAWHEAD
To reduce your assembly time, we carefully pre-assemble key components of the sawhead. Having the advantage of pre-assembled parts help you get up and running faster, saving you valuable time.
ADJUSTABLE THROTTLE CONFIGURATION
Our adjustable throttle assembly offers complete customization for individual needs. You can position both the throttle and push handle according to your preference based on track height, ensuring a comfortable operating experience.
EXPANDABLE TRACK SYSTEM
Our mills are designed to cut logs up to 10' 4" (3.1 m) long using the standard track configuration. You can unlock unlimited length potential by adding optional 2' 6" (0.76 m) track extensions.
HIGH-SPEED MACHINE-BALANCED BANDWHEELS
Balanced using a high-speed machining process, our bandwheels ensure optimal consistency, minimizing vibrations and maximizing efficiency. Our bandwheels deliver cleaner, more accurate cuts with reduced blade deflection and increased durability.
THIN KERF BLADES
The SE118 utilizes 1.25″ x 117″ x 0.042″ (32mm x 2972 mm x 1.0 mm) hardened tipped blades which are available through Woodland Mills. Blade kerf is kept to a minimum at just .080″ (2 mm) to maximize the most amount of lumber per log.
