The WG28 PRO was our first PRO Series stump grinder, launched in 2024. It introduced patent-pending shock absorption and dampening technology to our PTO-powered lineup, delivering smoother, more controlled stump grinding. Designed for tractors with 35 to 80 HP at the PTO, it applies even pressure, prevents kickback, and features a built-in draw speed indicator to help set the optimal working range for tractor speed.

Built for professional-grade performance, the WG28 PRO features a solid-steel grinding flywheel and 44 tungsten carbide cutting teeth, delivering powerful, efficient cutting. It connects seamlessly to the tractor’s 3-point hitch system and includes a chain-equipped chip deflector to keep debris contained to your work area.

TRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

The WG28 PRO stump grinder is designed to work on tractors with a PTO shaft. The stump grinder works best on tractors featuring PTO shafts that are independent of the tractors transmission drive system. This allows the operator to control the speed of the tractor independently and separately to the PTO speed. Since the tractor pulls the grinder through the stump, the rate at which the tractor moves is important and should be independent of the PTO shaft. Operating the WG28 PRO stump grinder at 540 RPM is required.

PATENT-PENDING SHOCK ABSORPTION

The unique shock assembly is designed to provide dampening. It’s engineered to apply even and consistent pressure and prevent kickback when working through stumps.

GO/NO-GO VISUAL INDICATOR

A Go/No-Go visual indicator lets the operator see the angle of the stump grinder from the seat of the tractor. This way, they can maintain the best working range for the tractor speed.

HEAVY-DUTY LARGE DIAMETER FLYWHEEL

The WG28 PRO features a large 28″ (71 cm) diameter solid-steel grinding flywheel and 44 tungsten carbide cutting teeth laid out in a sequential pattern for smooth cuts.

CATEGORY 1 AND 2 HOLES AND PINS

The WG28 PRO features a 3-point hitch with both Category 1 and Category 2 holes and pins, making it compatible with a wide range of tractors and horsepower ratings. The Category 1 setup is also quick hitch compatible for faster, easier hookups.

ADJUSTABLE CHAINSAW HOLDER

The WG28 PRO comes equipped with an adjustable chainsaw holder featuring nylon slides, allowing you to easily accommodate various bar widths. It provides a secure spot to transport your chainsaw around your property, keeping it safely stored while you move between tasks.

CHAIN-EQUIPPED CHIP DEFLECTOR

The WG28 PRO features a chain-equipped chip deflector designed to keep chips close to the work area for easier clean up.

INTEGRATED SUPPORT LEGS

Located at the base of the back frame, the integrated support legs provide stable support during storage, keeping the stump grinder in an ideal position for quick and easy tractor hookup. They also adjust to an in-use position when grinding, allowing you to grind stumps down below grade without interfering with operation.

PTO SHAFT INCLUDED

The WG28 PRO Stump Grinder includes a twin-plate slip clutch style PTO shaft.
